Who Are These Students in My Classroom? The Millennial Student

The Millennial Classroom: Strategies for Instructional and Learning Success

This workshop is designed to provide participants with information on how the brain learns and stores information, as well as recent research findings on brain development of the Millennial student. Instructional strategies and development of a unit of instruction will also be discussed. The Millennial classroom provides a very different environment for teaching and learning. Advances in neuroscience have provided us with a better understanding of how the brain learns and stores information. At the same time, the students in our classrooms have characteristics and behaviors, which are distinctly different than students from previous generations.
